i'm looking to purchase a used "c" version machine and the seller has centerline text software. can that be used by me after i register machine.thanks Harold

The Software license does not transfer from one owner to another once it is activated. You would have to purchase a your own license in order to use it.

If he is including the bits, you will not need to purchase those.

My understanding is that the license can be transferred but it must be deactivated from the original two. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
