Default Taking QC bit adapters off

I bought a set of edging bits that came with the QC adapters on them. I was able to get all the adapters off except one. This is one of the 1/4 shanked ones and won't come off at all. Any tricks to getting these out. I do have the tool for doing so.

    Thanks,
    Shane

You try heat? Some say you can use a hair dryer or a heat gun.

If that doesn't work, you might try an oven on a lower setting to get that locktight to loosen.

I'd be careful using a torch since it's harder to control the heat...

You have to heat them. The oven is a good way. Or a grill. You can use a small micro torch.

So I took it out to my shop, put it in a vice and tapped on the shaft and was able to get it out.

    Thanks for the help.

A soldering torch to heat them work very well
