Thread: Backup Of Designer Software and add-ons.

  1. Default Backup Of Designer Software and add-ons.

I was wondering when you install and activate the various addons, ie DXF Impoter to Designer software, would it be possible to back up the "activated" software just in case of a hard drive failure to a third party backup/restore software. So when i do restore Windows/Mac OS to a new drive will the Designer software prompt for reactivation?

What operating system? For Windows 7, use Create a system image to do this.

Its not necessary. Once activated, it is on your customer account.

Thanks for info, I regularly backup Windows 7 with a 3rd party and when the PC get a few problems, MS asks for the install key for validation

I would like to know how to run older versions of Designer. I have saved some of the old installs (just changed the subdir name.) But when I try to run one of them, I get a "your demo time is up" message box and I am stopped. I used to be able to run them.
