    Default flybox

Hangn with floyd at the show got me inspired. I finally started unpacking tools and setting up shop after the move. I been wanting make one of the flyboxes for a while..this seems like a very simple project for the CW...lol..maybe a laser engraver for the next toy. I will post the box pattern on my site when I finish in Designer with it.

I like the concept of the flybox. Look forward to your posting of the pattern. Would make good presents for the fishermen in the family.

Thanks for the comments folks. I FINALLY got most my tools unpacked and the garage a hair organized. Well organzied enough to get machine going. Attached are some photos of a test carve for the top out pine. I am happy with it the detail shows very well for a small pattern. I have the pattern set up fopr a double sided carve but I might just hand rout the back and drill the holes for the hinges on the press..probably be faster. I am off to rockler tommrrow for the hinges and hit a wood store for some nice wood..not sure what I am going use yet.

Attached pictures not the best, I had use my phone.

If any one is interested I put the pattern on my site http://www.carvepattern.com/en/41-fly-box-project.html

Thanks guys..MT I went out Sunday to get some wood and hardware, wasy dying to get one done. Woodcraft or Rockler the only thing open on a Sunday. I thought $6.something was a hair high for a small hinge. I have enough wood for like 20 ish boxes and have few friends that want some.
