OK, so yesterday we posted the date & location for the 2013 conference, then after 3 different conversations yesterday with the coordinator of the facility, she called us yesterday evening to say she was sorry, but those dates were NOT available. I was both livid and sick to my stomach.

So, my question is....How many of you that are planning to attend WOULD NOT come, if we did it on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday BEFORE Father's Day? Is having it on "Father's Day Weekend" a game changer?

    Thanks

    Connie
This could be a problem for those fying in. If the conference is all day Thursday, Friday and half Saturday
then they travel that afternoon, but they would have to travel on Wednesday to get there.
They could be traveling on Wednesday or Sunday depending on how many full days we have.
I personaly don't that problem since I'm only 4 hours away.
    Just my thoughts.

Did I miss something in the thread? I do not have any dates except the post that says it will be the weekend before Father's Day.

What I would like to see is smaller groups. More hands on learning of different subjects. Like Perry only a short drive. Will be there as long as their nothing with the grands kids that conflicts.

We thought we had a date yesterday, but now we don't. My question was...Is having it leading up to Father's Day going to stop folks from attending?

Father's Day weekend would not be a problem, besides what a great gift for Dad to be able to attend the conference and make purchases on that date.

Keep in mind the conference would not be ON Father's Day, but it will end the day before. For some, it may be a day of travel.

It's a 5 day trip for me no matter the date(s). Leaving hubby home and the daughters can take him out to dinner. But will be bringing a new member to introduce to everyone... the grandson who is trying to talk his grandmother out of one of her carving machines.
