    Default Vector carve pattern

See attached pattern. Is there a way to vector carve the vine boarder? I'm sure it would come out much better than it did raster carving it.

I'd trace over it with vector lines and play with depth profiles to make the leaves. If the text was centerline the time you take tracing it will likely be less then the difference in time doing a vector carve over a raster carve, in addition to the improvement in quality you mentioned.

Try "outline" of the pattern and a 60* bit @ 0.050. HIDE the actual pattern to see it looks ok for you..

I would do that with centerline. the small "a" is set deeper, I can adjust that in the font, you need to load the Font to see it.

Thanks! I will be able to do that if I ever get the Centerline software my wife ordered over a week ago.

Centerline is part of the designer package. Once it is purchased, you will get an email with the information on how to activate it. Basically (if memory server me) is you click on help from within designer, click manage license, and follow the instructions entering the license number you received in the email. If you did not get this email contact LHR and they will resend it.

Oh well duh, thanks Ed. Like I said my wife ordered it for my birthday so I didn't get any emails. Will have to get her to check and see if she got it. I could have been using it all this time!
