Knife plaque

[USMC BAZ]

Currently stationed in Yuma AZ, I do allot of custom work for fellow Marines. This KABAR plaque was made from poplar, it took the machine about an hour to carve. It is stained with minwax gel stain and finished off with a few coats of laquer. The Sgt who was given this was very pleased with it.

How is the knife held onto the plaque, OR ... is the knife also carved and if so, that's a really fantastic job ?
