    Default My first furniture project

This was a quicky, My daughter came for a few days and asked me to make something for her friend.
He likes to fish so I suggested a fishing rod holder.
Like her father she tends to go overboard.
This is what we made, all in pine. It is 5 feet high and just over 2 feet wide. I made it so she could pull it apart and slip it into her Cobalt to take up country.
The bass is a dingbat, oh how I love dingbats.

The two trout were just an import of a 3D model image from google. I put masking tape over the fish before we sprayed the piece with a black wash.
Total cost of materials was about 45 dollars.

If this project was just thrown together in a few days I'm certainly looking forward to what you can produce when you have a little time. Love the whole aspect of your project.

Thanks Sharon, I seem to work better when there are no plans LOL.
We had the concept from a picture online. I bought one laminated 1x12 shelf that was 8' long and 2 1x8 boards that are 8 feet. The design basically came from the material.
That doesnt mean that I don't like plans, just a different mindset.

I do have some ideas for future projects. I hope to show them here.
