Thread: Cutting down on the sawdust

  1. Default Cutting down on the sawdust

This Christmas rush from one of my websites has shown me some problem areas with my shop. With two carvewrights, band saw, oscilating sander, orbital sander and everything else going 12 hours a day, the air was unbreathable. A couple of new shop vacs and auto switches from Sears and just about every tool is on some sort of dust collection. I decided to dedicate a certain spot in the shop for a sanding station for all the machine and hand sanding.

I found this new toy on craigs list! Two Shop Fox downdraft sanding tables. Each one is about 40 inches long. The shop in the background is not mine. The sliding table-table saw in the background is a $22,000 German machine. Cool, but no wonder he had to sell his sanding tables. LOL
