    Default Latest Projects

Thought I would share a few projects. First one is a desk name plate I just made today for my VA Doctor who has done a lot for me. Had planned to paint the symbol and letters gold, but after I put a coat of sealer on it I decided it looked great as is. I'm a natural look kind of guy anyway.

Next are a couple saddle stands I built with carvings on the ends. Walnut with a maple eagle and curly oak with the walnut horse head I got from the forum and a horse shoe. Stands are my design, I hope to make a pattern so that I can cut the parts with the CW faster and cleaner than a band saw... we'll see.

Got a great reaction to the name plate... she teared up a little and I got a big hug, best payment in the world! Alway love it when someone really appreciates stuff I put time in to making for them. I love being a woodworker!
