    It was a deer.
    Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

    The issue with natural products like bone, shell, ivory, etc is that the consistency varies quite a lot. At one depth it is smooth sailing and a little deeper and you get into something closer to 'hardened hairy snot' (a description coined by a customer of mine in Newfoundland.) For CNC work this can make getting the optimum feed/speed almost impossible. There are special bits made for these materials that provide better results.
