Just to be sure....black carves to the deepest depth...default being .24 and white is even with the top of the board, right?

And, when placing a pattern on the board is there any restrictions as to how close you place your design on the board in the software?

Options-invert pattern -leave at least 1/2" on the edges for the rollers
Go to 'view> isometric to see from an angle what your height will look like
