cut path cd holder

I downloaded the cd holder off the forum my question is;on the carve out it did the cut path in one pass which is .75 thick.. on the cut out I read that it was only suposed to do a .5 at the max for one pass am I correct or can I change the dept for the cut path or leave it alone.

You can change the depth of the cut path and is recommended.

In the past I've had no problem doing full depth cuts in soft pine/poplar with the 1/8" cutter. Now I try to use the 3/16" bit for cut throughs and have no prob with single pass cuts. For hard woods I still do multiple passes.
