    Default Input from all please.

In the middle of a very long carve and I notice my red harbor freight DC making racket. So I stop it and empty it. The racket didn't stop. So I took the brushes out and changed them. Turned it on and bam! It seized. To be more accurate the outer bearing on the main shaft of the motor seized. Pretty rusted and just done. I feel I have gotten my moneys worth. So does anyone have any suggestions on a DC. I was going to go get the green harbor freight one but I thought with it being Christmas maybe I should ask for a better one. Before the suggestions start rolling in let me say I am very limited on space. Very. It has to be a small one. Thanks for any help.

I have the green harbor freight and have been very happy with it. Bert posted a coupon for it earlier can't find, but I'm sure he will see this and add a link.

Thanks but I do not have the room for one that big. My building is 8x12 foot and I literally just don't have the space. I need to stay with the same size as that one or figure out how to get that bearing off so I can rebuild that one.

Since you are limited on space...take a look at Grizzly.

    or

I did a lot of research prior to buying. I ended up buying the first one above...good piece of equipment and worth the $$. Nothing against "HF", but I've not heard any great reviews on their smaller DC's...you pay for what you get!

I have a RIKON 63-100 12gal Dust Extractor & Collector I use on one of my machines. I use the DC insert from Ringneck blues and this unit works good with it. I have over 100 hrs DC use in it with the Carvewright.

Here is the link to look at it. Small, compact, self contained and relatively quiet. Surprising thing is it is only 106CFM but does a really good job. On my other machine I have the same Harbor Freight DC you had.

I have been thinking of one of these for my shopvac to use for quick jobs when I do not want to drag out my hoses and ground wire etc for my Jet DC. It is a Oneida Dust Deputy
