    Just wondering, are your violins (and I think I remember a mandolin) hollow or solid? It is beautiful as your work always is.

    Beautiful beautiful work, LG. A friend of mine made his own mandolin years ago and did a great job, but can't wait to show him. I am a 5 string banjo guy myself, but no where near the challenge to build as those you do. Thank you for sharing...

    Do you still make this series on the CW? What other CNC's do you have?

    Hi Al I sure do! all the Liquid violin parts are still made on the CW. I have got pretty good at using the large format machines and software for other jobs. But I pick and choose.

    I always been a fan you your work and help has been so important over the years.

    Just curious.... how many total man hours does it take to make a violin... painting and all? How about man hours on one of your guitars?

    I can't say as it's my job but I can say it's overall fast at this point. I make the parts in batches neck body fingerboard and then assemble when needed.

    this lets me select the wood for the color and string choice. I like to make parts for 5 to 10 spread over a few days.
