    Default Knots

Ordered my machine today. Planning on breaking lots of things and making lots of firewood! I am concerned about running through knots on cedar. Thoughts, suggestions....?

    Thanks,

    Paul

Just make sure your knots are tight, other wise it will ruin your carving. I try to avoid them when I can but sometimes it adds a nice effect to your carving but plan ahead. I use cedar all the time, it stains beautifully.

Paul, Welcome Aboard ! I can't say that enough. I would try and take small carvings passes so I don't stress the bits to breaking point.
