    Default Replica AH-1W Rotor Blade

I could use some help, I have attached my latest helicopter blade with logos on the front. However this one didnt carve out the best and I had to do some freehand drawing. To be exact the logo to the right was blank, so it had to be drawn. The logos are very vague and they arent crisp as when I carve them out by themselves. I played around with draft and depths to try and make them stand out more but have had no luck. Endstate is I want to make the logos themselves a little more crisp. Lines are hard to see once carved and even harder once stained. Any help is appreciated.

Try smoothing just a bit and then blur the edges in pattern editor.

I think you would have to think of the depth of the whole piece of wood. Could you make the blade itself a little more shallow?

I changed the stock to 1 inch. The blade itself is set to 3/4. It takes a lot of wood off and it leaves the logos just fine. Depth wise. But the patterns are not coming out for some reason.

Might try inverting the images an see how that looks - I played with one of the designs - got it off the internet. See if this is any better best for the bit setting - Look pretty good inverted

Nice I really like the blade,
When I was in the Army I worked on the OH-58d.
The I worked on the Apaches for a military contractor.

Is the blade pattern available to be purchased?

I don't even know if I'm supposed to have it. But to get back to the problem. I took the background image, the blade itself, and used exclusive clip carving and that allowed me to set a better more realistic depth for the logos. All is well. Only took me all day to figure it out.

What is the clip carving option for? What does it do? I see the difference I needed but don't understand.
