Thread: Added a no grain background

Default Added a no grain background

I created a solid color background 512 pixels x 512 pixels at 72 dpi saved as a jpg and named it Pine_nograin.jpg I put that file in the Carvewright program file under woods1 and now I can change my board to this, gives a much cleaner image of the carving.

Personally I think this makes it much easier to see the carving texture. What do you think?

    Thanks ~Mike

Now if someone could work out how to ake the upper layers a different color, you could see what it looked like painted....

    Looks much better, IMHO.

yeah, I do think it looks better. The carving is more pronounced and you can see the detail better.

Neat Trick! I made one in Terra Cotta color for a project I'm working on and it worked great. Thanks.

Myself and another person have posted diffrent backgournds in the past. It's nice to have a selection. The other guy (don't remember his name) actuall made some with a diffrent selection of woodgrains too. It's worth searching for and downloading.
    Happy carving , Jeff Birt
