Thread: A few of mine.

  1. Default A few of mine.

Been lurking for a while, thought it was time I share. BTW, love this CW machine (when it's working) and this forum (especially when the CW is not working)!

As you can tell, we're kinda proud of our little island. We raffled off a few of the GVI signs for a fund raiser. They went over very well.

Thanks all. You're too kind. My wife is the artist, I'm the sign maker. She did the beach scene GVI. She gets infuriated with my "method" of painting (Basically I usually just fill in all the holes and sand off the mess that I made (From a suggestion on this forum). I'm no artist, but the results are as you see and it's fast. I've found foam brushes are great both for lettering and solid backgrounds. Dirt cheap too.

The white with black Heron sign had me for a while, but I ended up spreading some black on a sheet of plastic wrap, but that on top of a towel, and carefully placed the white painted sign on that. Kind of reverse screen printing. It came out almost perfect. A little touch here and there and it'll make a great gift.

Good looking signs! If you don't mind sharing what is the name of the font that 29 is done in? Thanks - Doug
