    Default Gray Scale

Anyone know how to turn this in to a gray scale pic? Looks nice to maybe try out. I tried just pulling it in with paint.net(all I have), make black and white, blur and it still didn't look good. Might be nice to take out the background and just have the horse.

there is no way a grayscale version of this picture will come out nice as a 3D relief, the shades just are not right for the depth/height information.

Yes, but with a 1/16" bit you will need to carve big to capture all the tiny details, like 24" X 36".
