    Well at least badbert guessed. Its "Grenadilla" wood from Central America, not to be confused with the black African wood of the same species. Can't show my wheel barrow since I broke my 1/8th inch cutting bit on the wheels. Its pretty hard ans super heavy!

    Hope you liked it though. Their is always wood for that special project.

    a variety of wood is not much here in Florida, I envy the people that have that choice of different wood.

    I used to live in Panama City and work at Tyndall AFB. More people than trees lol

    peep here is a suggestion, get an airboat and go get some swamp cypress! LOL Seriously. Big Box stores that sell Hardwood flooring. Always have damaged or broken bundles. They usually sell them at a big discount. But you have to ask. I bought a bundle of white oak for $20. It takes a little work doing the glue-ups, but you can have some beautiful wood.
