Not ready for prime time

Just dropping a note to say I'm returning my CompuCarve this week. I've had a new controller sent and have tried to complete three projects in three days with no success. The problems varied from the machine's inability to measure a board, poor documentation & help files and finally the machine quit about 35 minutes into a job. The LCD was blank. When I turned it back on the text on the display was garbled and I couldn't get it to do anything. I've ruined about $70 worth of wood and have just had it.

I'll stay tuned and look forward to the next iteration of the machine and software.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Some of us have been at this for a while and still get the occasional bumps, but we've mostly been in the position to keep at it and it's paid off. When you get a good machine and it works for you, there's nothing better. Again, I'm sorry to hear someone has enough problems to cause them to give up something they obviously wanted enough to buy it.
