Default can you change carving bit while work in progress?

Will the machine have a problem if i replace carving bit with a new one in the middle of a project?
    Still using 1.120 & 1.126

    Default

The machine must have the same bit unless the replacement is exactly the same length.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

    Do it on a Mac.

    Default Function Code?

That sounds like a good idea for the next firmware upgrade. A Function Code that you can enter via the keypad that lets you change bits mid job and tells the processor to re check the bit depth again before starting.
