    Andrea,

    Here it is with the A and O lowered. I believe the trick is to apply a "subtractive" merge to the outer region. Any way that is how I got it to work. Thanks for posting this as I was working on something similar last night and could not get it to work..

    Thanks, thats just what I was trying to do. Does anyone have a steadier hand that can even things up and round the top better?

    Here is another attempt. You used lines around the top I changed them to a arc.
