thanks for help, that worked on getting rid of the dot

Ok that is a simple way of hiding the dot. I have a pattern I created that has the same effects as the bottle. But there are about 5 dots along the bottom. As with the bottle the rectangle around the image is not centered on the carve region. My pattern is offset towards the bottom. Removing the dot as mentioned works but if the dots are within another carve area doing so will effect the other area. Does anyone know why the dots are there and how to remove them?

Should have mentioned I edited the pattern using the pattern editor, and this is when the dots showed up. I suspect it is an invisible background somehow, and feathering caused it to be more pronounced. Yet I still can not find a way to remove them.

Well I am going to asnwer my own question. In pattern editor I used the square tool to highlight excess area, then deleted it. Problem was I did not get all the excess area, thus leaving spects behind. Once I edited it again, I highlighted a larger area, and deleted this and the dots went away.
