OK, this is my first attempt at making a font with pictures. I converted about 10 fishing pictures. I have not carved anything yet but they look good in Designer. Let me know what you guys think.

Not bad - some look better in one font over the other - some are really good.

    Default Need advice

This is my first attempt at putting together a scene and I need some advice before I go and carve it. I am not sure about the depth settings also how do I make something that looks like a moon?

    Default Moon

Here's a 1/4 moon if ya need one. Pretty crude, but workable. Gurus can help clean it a bit I'm sure.

If all you're looking for is the "shape" of a moon, it can be done very simply in Designer with just two arcs.

This MPC has it, outlined, carved in and standing out of a carved region. By simply changing the radius of the arcs, you can have any "stage" moon you like.

Took about 35 seconds to make. Far longer to type this response and process the screen shot...lol

These carve real well. There are pics in the gallery forum under "Burned finish on these."

Take a look at the post I added last week when you first posted - can't figure out why that mpc isn't as clear as your finished project.

I'm trying to learn what you did differently than what I did - these kinds of fonts are readily available, and with the results you got, well worth hunting for. But, with what I put together, they're not clear enough to carve - I gotta be missing something.

Not sure if I'm doing anything. Here is a file with the fish I did.

    Default Rustic Frame

This is something I was fooling around with this evening. I have no idea how it would carve.
