    Talking Stool pattern modified

I changed the stool pattern posted previously to add a carving. If you use this I would go a little shallower on the carving.

Also the second file is brackets I laid out for the stool. There are four 'cause I am making two stools. The spiral carves on both sides and uses the 90 degree bit.

Home Depot sells a knotty pine glue up in 24" x 48" size for 16 bucks.
Got two stools and change out of the one piece. Seat was made to 7" x 12" with my grandsons names Centerline carved in it (love that CL).

Here is one that was posted a long time back by someone, I can't remember by who. Sorry, I would give proper credit if I could remember??? Getting old.

  3. Default Stool and brackets

    Andy C,
thanks for posting the pattern for the stool. What I don't understand is how it is totally put together with the brackets and the stool. My granddaughter is having an event coming up and would like to make one for her. Any way you could post a picture of the finished product? not sure what the cut out is for except for maybe a handle? and the brackets the legs? And where would they go? Stupid me. I am new to this. Many thanks in advance.

Default Arched Sign - Save some materials

Made this sign for a neighbor.

First design gave me a ignore-autojig-manual error when I went to upload.

Wanted to use 1x8 and not have to go to next size.

When you use designer the top of the project comes out on the key board side of the machine. The arched cut out is what caused the error.

Laid out the sign in designer upside down, which put the cut on the other side of the machine.

    Now carves fine.

Well, I always waste wood, so I would have gone to a 1x10 board, but you can also let the machine size to fit the board your using. In your case, even using a 1 x 10 might give you the same error... For some reason the machine wants a lot of extra space on the sides... In this case I understand because of the cut-through.

It sounds like flipping the board tricks the machine... Good to know...

    Default Rocking Horse Pattern

Here is a rocking horse that my father built for my oldest sister some 50 plus years ago. When I came along I broke it, so my sister requested that when she had grandchildren I build them each one. This will make it a lot less difficult as her kids just keep having children. Some times restitution takes a while.

    Default A Scanned Unicorn Pattern

I scanned a brass plated frame. The entire frame is too large to post here but today I edited the frame itself out so just the unicorn is left. Here it is.
