Thank you, John. I actually forgot about the Lincoln penny until you brought it up! I used ArtCAM for that one, but it's the same procedure as Aspire - bring in the photo, add some relief shapes underneath it here and there, then sculpt overall by hand 'til it looks reasonable. It can be challenging, but usually rewarding in the end! Your skill with Z-Brush is impressive, to say the least, and it looks like you are enjoying working with it!

I'm actually doing some more challenging 'human' sculpts for another forum member (Frederick), although I think he's probably wondering what's taking me so blasted long (trying to fit it in between everything else goin' on!). I can't wait to finish at least one of them - keep jumping around, on this one then that one....

Blame this one on Kenm, he gave a demo of making dish patterns. I took that and went a little futher, made half, quarter circles, added double texture H/V, making patterns and adding to it till I got this. Ok I am just playing with this but thought I would share.
Pattern was too big to upload.
Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

    Default John Wayne

Here is another portrait..practice practice practice..at least while I have the time...LOL.

LG if you look at this..I have managed to crash the STL Importer..had to bring this in as a depthmap which I dont like..I swear it loses detail over the stl importer..the stl file is 70MB...Second time I crashed it...it usually handles large files with no prob.

    Default All Time Legend

John, I like a lot of the patterns you have been doing but John Wayne is really nice. Thanks for sharing your work. It got me thinking. It would really be cool to do a theme wall or mantle "Legends" and this would have to one included in it. Who does anybody else think should be included in All Time Legends

Could anyone use a rocky terrain background?
And don't forget Clint Eastwood, Pale Rider, Outlaw Jose Walls etc and the Dirty Harry series.
