    Default Light House Framed

    Hello to All,
    It has been awhile and I sure have been missing you.
    Scanned this the other day to get the cob webs out and hope to do some carving soon with other work loads well into Feb. of 2011.

    For those making ornaments, here is a 2 sided carve, just add a hook on the top.

    Found the 3ds file on the internet, and converted.

    I have been working on a Santa scene, and it is finished. All but the Santa itself was designed by myself.
    Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

    Thanks gwiz, I carved two of the Santa scene's today. One small about 4x5, the other a 10x11. Will post images when painted. Wife dos nt trust me in painting since I am color blind, so she is doing that part. She is trying the chalk method, OK I trust her, and will have to wait and see how it turns out.

    The Santa scene carved I posted yesterday.

    Edit: candles do not carve great, tend to break off since they are thin.
    Little carve is oak, and larger one is poplar.

    Thanks on the tip about the candles. I thought I might give it a try if I find a break in the schedule..
