Has anyone tried cutting them with a carvewright?
If it can be done. I will order one RIGHT NOW.

Maximum depth of cut is 1"
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

And, Tuck, remember that the CarveWright will not undercut, as some would be. Having said that, don't forget that depending upon your designing ability, expecially if you have a 3D scanning probe, you could do it/them in parts within the limits of the machine (12'x14.5"x5" with 1" cut/carve depth max). A challenge to be sure, but certainly can be done, particularly if smaller scale.

Thanks Guys. I think I will keep looking for a solution. Looks like a lot of work to get the slices cut right Bob. And then glue the whole thing together with only square corners on one face. Yikes.
Four Axis would be nice, but not within the scope of this unit.
Hi TuckFL.
Could you post a drawing with sizes of what you have in mind ?
While I think I now what a corbel is, odd-ball ideas might start you in a different direction, and I claim some experience of odd-ball ideas.

Although you can turn the wood over and do your edge bevel cutting, you can also use a table saw, regular router, etc. to made the edges for putting the pieces together.
