    Default Carving from a photograph

I have just completed a carving from a photograph and everything looks ok. However, I was wondering if you could control what carves vs what remains constant. It looks like my carving is the negative of the original photograph. Is there a way to reverse the carving process so that what is raised is carved. Hopefully this makes sense to someone that have carved from a photograph. Thanks John.. .

Thanks Ross that helps a bunch, I'm still learning the software by trail and error, mostly error. Hopefully, I'll see you at conference. John
