I don't use any dust collection of any kind. I scoop out (by hand) excess sawdust during bit changes, and use compressed air and a ShopVac to clean out the machines (and the floor) after finished with a project run.
I think most people have concluded that a downdraft system doesn't perform as well as a top-mounted dust collection system.
There are two top mount systems that folks "swear by"... both were designed by fellow forum members. A Do-It-Yourself system was designed by Frederick Potter (he posted the PDF files here on the forum). Another similar system is pre-assembled and available for sale. That system was designed by Floyd Harris and can be purchased at an economical price. NOTE: You still need to provide your own vacuum with both those devices, as well as ground your machine properly to avoid "zapping" it to death.
