I tend to agree with you on the machines ability to locate the corian. But if it thinks it's cutting one depth and actually cuts another due to error in pocket depth, the lithopane image may suffer loss of quality.

You are OK! We still need to see your MPC. However, I can guess that you are trying to make a carve region with the carving bit.
I don't think you are trying to cut all the way through the board (which is what some folks are thinking).

You will not see the bit selection icon activate on a raster carve, as it is set as shown in my previous post.
I'll send you another private message in a minute.
If you turn on your grid lines, you will see what the machine is going to carve.

Thanks Ken. I figured what to do with the corners. I also plan to drill a 1/2 hole in the center to let me push from the back to release the corian. My issue is making the jig to the proper size. I input say 5 X 7 and get 5 1/8 by 7 1/8.

There were many people trying to help. Thanks for that. Failing health can leave me a bit confused. I think I'll resort to a phone call for support.

Am I missing something here? If Sail carved a 6 X 9 rectangle with the 3/16 carving bit, he should get a 6 3/16 X 9 3/16 rectangle because the center of the carving bit follows the rectangle. Is that not what happened here?

We have not seen the MPC as yet. However, I think he still had the 1/16 carving bit assigned and substituted the 3/16 carving bit. As a side note, on a carve region, the edge of the bit is the determining factor rather than the center. This was a carve region not a cut path nor vector pocket.
We are due to talk Sunday, so we'll go from there.
