    Default 4" 80 Grit Coarse Grade Abrasive Ball at Harbor fright.

    Found these at my local Harbor Freight. They are the Scotch brite style.
    I have just played with it a little and so far it has been pretty good for me and they are not that expensive.

    I wonder if something like that can be made with those green kitchen pads used for cleaning pots and pans. Not that I personally know about those things, just something I might have seen on T.V. ! LOL

    like this, the pads are about $3 for a pack of 3 at lowes.

    I've had issues using the green pads where the color has actually been transferred to the wood and does not remove easily. But the pads I have are old, perhaps they have improved them?

    now that you mention had the same problem with the green pads, but the maroon ones in my first post didn't and i order a maroon one fromhttp://customsandingbelts.com/ didnot bleed the color.
