    My wife has been asking for a few years for a headboard...I finally came up with this design using a rose bouquet pattern from the store.

    The center panel is made from three pieces of Black Walnut that came from my neighbors fathers lot up in Buffalo. He cut and milled the tree himself and gave me the rough cut timber about a year ago. I trimmed and planed the boards and glued up a 14.5 x 48 panel. The finished panel shown above is 25" tall, and left natural with only a few coats of poly to bring out the grain! The rest of the headboard is made of select pine and painted to match existing furniture in the room...
