    Default Upload problems

After unpacking machine yesterday I completed several small tests with no problem. Tonight when I try to upload a design I get the following message:

gui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close....

Any suggestions? (I have tried to reboot but no help.)

Found I can upload old programs but not newly created or saved ones.

Default gui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close....

I also have occasionally gotten the message "gui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.... "

I haven't lost anything that I know of, and am trying to recreate the problem so I can figure out what the cause is.....

I just reload the program, my design, and continue working.... remember.... frequent saves can and will save you time in the long run.

If I come up with anything, I will re-post, but it is "good" to know I am not the only one with this problem

Default gui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close

I have also just reveived my CW and installed the software. Everytime I try to launch New Project - Carving - Pattern Tool. Then it gives this error:
gui.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience --- then it closes.
I will try to reinstall the software and see if that helps but everything else in the software works fine.

I am running Windows XP Svc Pack 2, Pentium 4 w\2GB of ram.
I am running the latest version or the CW software and am told I need no updates.
I am not sure what version of flash I am running or if this error has to do witht he flash version but will look intop that also.

I will post if anything new comes up with this.

    Thanks,

    Lloyd

I also get the same message sometimes when I would try and do an oval or circle. I just assumed that it is a problem somewhere in my laptop and not in Designer. I never saw the problem when I was using the family computer. Because I have seen it when I was working with Adobe 4 Photo. So I just save my work every step of the way just in case it happens.

I only got the problem if I didn't wait until windowsXP finished loading completely and I went into the designer. Patience is a virtue I know. If I let windows load completely and than go into designer I don't have the problem.

    Default Upload Problems

I have received that message several times, but fortunately I could ignore it and not lose anywork. I did get the message that the disk was corrupted, but I deleted several files and the upload worked just fine.

    Default Update on GUI.exe problem.

Its still not fixed but I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and reinstalled Flash 8 and still get the same error. I am including the error in its entirety, please forgive:
(a LOT of the error still points to flash being an issue)

Maybe if you updated Flash and Shockwave if that would help.
Flash is at version 9 and Shockwave is at 10
