Hi Tom,

I've attached a modified version that is closer to what I believe you intended (raised Alaska State as well as raised Lettering). The "key" is to use the "Group" function so you can isolate merge styles from items that are outside of the group whenever you want to do things like this.

I also added some Draft, a small feather inside the ellipse carve region, tweaked some height/depth settings and corrected the spellin'!
