Ok after playing and having to clean and lube the posts and screw posts I finally got the unit up and running and here is my first piece.

Congradulations! That came out really great. Have ya got bit by the bug now?
That's a pretty ambitious first carve! Nice job.

That's very nice work, What mode of carving did you use ? Capt Barry
Capt. Barry,
I hate to sound stupid but I have no idea, how would I know. I just watched each and every video on this and followed what I saw in the videos. The design is 17"L x 7.25"T and it took 58 minutes to cut.
Rob
You don't sound stupid at all- it sounds like you're wiser than many are when they first start out and just jump into the deep end. Using the vids/tuts was how I got started too and my machine is the better for it.
Very nice first carve and thanks for sharing it with us. I look forward to many more in the future!
Lawrence
Congratulations and what a wonderful start!

No-No. I think there is misunderstanding here. I should of maybe explained better. In the tool bar there is a setting for the grade of Carveing with the bit, Bit- Optamazation is what you use, you will see a bit looking tool carving a piece of wood. it goes in stages from None , Low, Med. to Best. I like to use the Best setting.I hope this explains BETTER. SORRY, Capt Barry
Well today I did another one and I checked at it was cut at normal.
Schramm, I'm just trying to show that there was a possible way to improve and already good carve.; You don't have to stay on normal all the time , you can use best anytime you want. Capt Barry
