    Default Edge routing

Newbe here. Still confused about edge routing. Assume I cut the board corners at 45°. I now have eight new edges and four free (loose) pieces. How do I edge rout the remaining eight sided board?

The built-in routing function only supports rectangular boards.

If you design a octagon is the Designer, then you can put a rout on the octagonal path.

You do your routing totally INSIDE the work wood piece, so the wood has to be quite a bit larger, not just barely to cover the widest sides.

Design your project ,rout it , then cut it out.
Look at my last post under "HI" in software. It shows an example of routing on the board and then you can cut it out .
