    Default probe problem

    hello i'm trying to use the probe for my cw i watched the video a couple of times and followed the directions what i'm trying to find out is the probe suppose to touch whatever it is you are scanning or just glide over it mine is touching and sort of scratching

    Touches every 5000ths of an inch. Probe tips are used to protect from scratching precious pieces.

    The probe will touch (needs to to get the actual relief of the object) your object. If the object is a soft material it could scratch it. You can use the plastic probe tips to help prevent the scratches.
