New TO CARVEWRIGHT AND NEED HELP WITH A PROJECT

I am justing starting out and have a project that I would like to do
for Our Germanfest coming up Oct 1. It is a lion. I need help with creating
a pattern for it. I have attached a picture of the lion and need just the lion
with no background if that is possible.

Welcome to the Forum, Making a PTN file is easy if you have the Pattern Editor or use a program like PhotoShop. Not sure if you meant you wanted to make your carving on the surface of the board with no background on the board. You would need to carve the pattern into the board to do that. I made a few sample images.
