Thread: Loose bit

    Default Loose bit

I noticed that the machine wasn't cutting as precise as it had been so I went to clean the bit and noticed it is loose. The owners manual mentions loose bits but doesn't say how to fix it. The bit I have in the machine is the 1/8" bit. I havent taken it out of the chuck yet. Would tightening the set sews do it?

I take it you are asking about the QC. IF so... At this point you need to replace every bit holder and the QC.

Just replace the QC then the worn bit holders will destroy the new QC

Just replace all the bit holders.... the worn Bit Holders will destroy the QC....

You must replace everything.... MANY.... Including myself would only replace a few bit holders..... The Slightly Worn bit holders would beat up my new QC in a short time.
