Thread: Why I LOVE manufacturing PARTS using my CarveWright!

Default Why I LOVE manufacturing PARTS using my CarveWright!

Why do I love my CarveWright? Well, let me tell you. I'm currently working on building myself an arcade cabinet, to be able to play all of those games from my youth, and to share them with my kids, and my CW has helped me to do work that I could not do as well on my own.

Here is the marquee section of my arcade, and specifically, the speaker section that I have built so far.

As you can see from the side detail, just above, I did NOT use the CW (and in hindsight, I'm kicking myself) and as such, I have a lot more finish work to do before this is ready for assembly and real paint.

The speaker area, however, is PERFECT. I recessed the speakers to a depth of 1/2" on a 3/4" piece of MDF, drilled the mounting holes to the specifications provided in the speakers' documentation, and created a recess for the speaker cover to a depth of 1/4". Everything fit in there perfectly, and I'm loving the results!

    Thank you, CarveWright!

I have a Grand Son that wants me to make an arcade game for him, that was last November, I'm working on it. The first images is what he wanted it to look like.

When I first read the thread name..."Why I LOVE manufacturing PARTS on my CarveWright" I thought....oh know! Why do these always pop up at closing time when I'm ready to go home and have a nice quiet evening?!?!

Then I read it and realized you were using your CarveWright to make other parts not re-manufacturing parts for the CarveWright. So, I hope you don't mind that I changed a word in your title.

Now, I'm outta here...you guys have a great evening and I PLAN ON HAVING ONE TOO!

My contribution to the topic (from another thread). The CW made pretty close to 100% of the "wood" parts of my machine.

Nice looking bartop! Hit up BYOAC (Build Your Own Arcade Controls) if you ever need info or have questions.

Sorry 'bout scaring you! That's next, btw. (Wink, wink!) I don't mind at all.
