    Default Mac Lion OS

Is CW software compatible with the new Mac Lion OS?

We have tested it here today and it seems to work fine on Lion OS for Mac.

    Actually it doesn't.

I've been having problems with the software saving recent projects opened and new licenses.

Load Software, and Open a project. Look at File/Open Recent. The project appears in that list. Close the software and re-run. On the startup wizard, if you choose Last Project, it won't be the one you just had opened. Look at File/Open Recent and the last project you had opened won't be in the list.

If you try to change preferences, the changes stick until you close the software. Re-run the software after changing preferences and they are back the way they were before you tried to change them.

License a new Project or Pattern. Close the software and re-run. Try to load the newly licensed Project again and it tells you it is unlicensed. You have to re-license to use it.

This was driving me crazy until I realized that my Recent Files list is of the Projects that were in that list before I upgraded to Lion and the Licenses that the software recognized were the ones that were already Licensed before the Lion Upgrade. With each new Project or Pattern that I buy, I have to go through the License Manager to authorize them before they can be used.

I have removed the software and the 3 .plist files and reinstalled several times.

    ~Library/Preferences/CarveWright.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.LHR Technologies.Board Editor.plist
    /Library/Preferences/com.LHR Technologies.Pattern Editor.plist

It looks like it is being denied access to the main Library directory as those two files don't get updated or recreated if they are removed.

    Definitely a Permissions issue

I ran the program as root
    sudo "/Applications/CarveWright.app/Contents/MacOS/CarveWright"

changed preferences, Imported my current License file, and opened a bunch of projects and it remembered all of the changes, recent projects, and new licenses.

Can't be running the program as root all the time, however.

I'm having the same problem plus I have to re-register/license every time I open the application and even then all of the settings are lost and it will leave at least one of my add-ons like stl importer in demo mode.
    Are there any possible solutions?
Thanks for any help or ideas,
    George
