    Default last project

    Hello Everyone

I don't post many projects on the forum but I like seeing projects from other people. I am going to start posting more as I get them done. Here is one I did for my neice for an auction for her school. She is a teacher not a student.

The chair construction looks great - excellent job! I'm sure your niece will love it. Question - what is the carving of? I cannot make out what it is from the photo.

    Thanks for the replies

The chair was a little bit of a challenge. I got the plans off the internet but I had to change the back design to get the carving on it. The carving is of mount rainier in washington state which I look at every day out my front window. The mountian will show a lot better when it gets painted ( I hope). I wil post a picture after it gets stained and painted.
    Thanks again

Looks similar to the Adirondack chair that I made for my grand kids.

I managed to keep the rounded back by sledding the back slats and carving across them all.

Of course just centerline text not a mountain scene but I suppose you could do the same.

You chair looks nice though and the view through you window must be nice as well. I too get to look at mountains through my front window though mine is of Francis Peak and Farmington Canyon.
    Sometimes I'm just totally underwhelmed!

Really nice job, I love that you incorporated the mountains outside your window, it will mean that much more to your neice.
