    I received my "c" machine this week from Amazon it did not have this upgrade. It does make a difference.

    CW005 It had the CT but not the screw upgrade.

    I just upgraded my machine to the Carvetight 9/13. Does it have the modification, or do I still have to do it?

    You should be good to go but a quick check on the screw length will tell you. They made the change in house so I believe all units shipped out after this post started had the longer screws.

    Do you have two lock washers on the tightening screw? The mod was a longer screw with the two washers.

    I just got back from Lowes got the screw and washers I was headed that way to get pull knobs for my second jewelry box I have three more to go before Christmas.

    I'll have to try this out as soon as I get my new "used" machine -- my old one is down, still waiting for a new motor.
