Not sure what you are looking for. Most of the light boxes are just shadow boxes. I have made a couple that incorporated some carving but not many. One is just a piece of wood with a groove carved in it to hold a curved litho. The "radio" that is my avatar I guess is a light box. I'm working on one now that is just a shadow box cut on my table saw and mitersaw, no CW at all.
Sometimes I'm just totally underwhelmed!

Its not as fun but hobby lobby has shadow boxes that are sometimes on sale for half price, (like $5) for a 5x7. I often buy 5 or 6 of them and then install a light in the back and put the 1/4 litho where the glass was and I have a quick cheap light box that I did not have to spend any time making.
