    or do what I'm about to do... I'm going to be carving some house number signs and am going to do some for the neighbors.

    I've done that myself. Felt a little self-conscience about the noise so made some signs and dropped them on door steps.

    LOL. That's what actually prompted the conversation. I offered a house sign to my neighbour, and while I had actually completed hers, I was working on a few others. Let's just say my inability to keep all of the MDF dust out of my carves threw a few lines out of alignment, meaning I worked on my signs all day. She said, "I certainly hope my sign wasn't causing all that noise!"
