text on sign not turning out

Can anyone help after 2weeks of trying to get machine started I findly cut a small sign out of 3/4" x 6" and the letters did not turn out esp.the thin portions of the letters is this because I used pine.thank you

unfortunally no the wider parts of the letters seemed to turn out ok just the thin parts didn't work out also surrounding the letters is fuzzy

Some fonts do not work well when carving, especially ones with thin areas. The problems is the bit is tapered and the software does not account for that yet, but it might sometime in the future.

have a look at that design and see if the feather feature is on if so turn it off and try it again. just a thought.

Another thought is the Bit Optimization, it might come out better if you change that so the bit doesn't go as far into the wood. Just make sure you apply it after you are done with the design.

Good point, Aaron, about Bit Optimization being BEST. I keep forgetting to mention that myself as I never do anything but use BEST for anything I cut, even demo cuts, as I really want to see what's going to be and now make a guess.
