Ok, I know when it comes to woodworking, it's not a horseshoes & hand grenades type of sport, but isn't that close enough?!

Amazon has a 3/16 with 1/4 shaft, but the max cut is 3/4 inch.

OK... so I finally purchased the new 3/16 carving bit. Is there anything that I need to do to begin using it for carving? When the machine asked for the carving bit do I just use the 3/16 instead of the 1/16 and it'll know this? I'm running 1.179 SW. Thanks.......

Hi, Jerry, hope you are doing well. You need to assign the bit in designer before you upload to the memory card. Go to board settings then click on pattern bit tab and assign the 3/16 there.

Found it! Thanks Greg. Hope you're doing well amigo. I'm assuming I set the 3/16 ball nose and not the 3/16 straight bit? It even changes the appearance of the project pattern in designer too when seeing it on the board.

Yes the ball nose, You will lose some fine detail when using this bit. It is for carvings you wish to speed up the carving but do not need fine resolution or fine details to show up on the carving.

yes I am doing well, good to talk to you again.
